My "TOP TEN"

I think one of, if not the hardest part about receiving a cancer diagnosis and living with cancer, especially for the second, time has been dealing with the fear, anxiety, stress and feelings of hopelessness. There are many different ways to deal with these emotions and no exact time line on when things will get easier to manage. So, I thought it might be helpful to list the "top 10" that have helped me get through this and continues to be of help. Hopefully this will provide encouragement, ideas and help to some of you regardless of what you may be going through in your life.
Listed below are my top 10. I will touch on each one individually and in more depth in upcoming posts. Please feel free to add comments of what has worked well for you in these areas.
  1. prayer/ time in the Word

  3. deep breathing/visualization
  4. nutrition
  5. sleep
  6. learning the "triggers"

Hi Elayne - I think for me, a few of the big ones were music (I usually was feeling too ill and mentally foggy to read), a sense of humor, a positive attitude, and a determination of find something every day to enjoy - even if it were a pretty flower, or an interesting bird. Hope you are well. Art
